Feel Bettercine

Poor Kathryn.  We think she's teething.  We think she's been teething for quite some time now, her drooling being the key giveaway.  The drooling has gotten a little better, but she's now trying to chew on everything.  She just chomps away on anything. Despite this, she's still pretty much her normal, incredibly happy self, although her new best friend at night has become Tylenol, or as we call it: her fell bettercine.  She takes it eagerly and it seems to help her a lot.  We're hoping to see a tooth soon!

She's been doing well with sleeping too.  She insists on going to bed anywhere between 6:45pm-7:30pm.  It's usually on the earlier side rather than later.  We love the time to ourselves in the evening, but her early nights also lead to early mornings.  Today for example, she went to sleep at 7pm, but woke up at 4:30.  She seemed pretty awake.  Most mornings it's not that early.  Her normal wake up time is between 5:45am-6:30am.  Today was crazy though.  I tried bringing her in bed with me, but she just wanted to play.  I was very tired (due to staying up reading till midnight...that 50 Shades is hard to put down), so I decided to put her back in her crib to play and I fell back asleep.  When I woke up, she'd fallen asleep, so I went back to sleep till around 8am.  While it was great, I think it screwed her whole day up.  She only took one nap from 11-1, which is usually lunch time.  She was tired around 3pm, but wouldn't go to sleep.  Needless to say, she was exhausted by the time bedtime rolled around.  Her eyes were red and puffy and she looked drunk during dinner.  We did our best to keep her up till 7pm, but she was ready at 6:15.  She fell asleep sucking on Jared's finger and when he pulled it out, she just cried, which she hardly ever does.  We couldn't keep her from sleeping any longer, so she went to sleep at 6:30.  Goodness knows what time she'll wake up tomorrow, but I fear it's going to be extra early.

On another note, we were talking to our neighbors Pegi and Ann and when they each tried to hold her, she started to cry...with real tears.  It was so sad. I think she's starting to realize what "strangers" are.  This makes me sad. :-(
