Fun Times at 5-9

We go to the 99, or as Kathryn calls it,  5-9, way too much. I had a long day at the zoo today and the chicken I'd taken out for dinner didn't thaw so we went to our usual dining place.  Once again, we had a great time and she brought smiles to so many people.  As we left she was saying goodbye to everyone and their faces just lit up.  She's such a special girl.

So long, Pop Pop!

We had to return Pop Pop to Arizona on Tuesday.  We sure had a great visit and hope he'll come out again soon.  Now we just need to convince Gangy to come see us!

Easter 2014

Today was Easter.  We were lucky to have Pop Pop with us. We missed Gangy though. Kathryn wasn't too excited about her basket except for the M&Ms.  She was very excited about the egg hunt though and had a great time.  We then relaxed for most of the day before heading to Pegi's for a wonderful dinner and then over to Rick and Dee's for dessert. It was a good day.

Doodle Doo!

I got this great book a while back to record Kathryn saying all her animal sounds. We did it last night and it turned out great.  I especially love when she does the rooster sound. She sticks her finger in the air and says, "Doodle doo!" I'll miss that when she's all grown up.

I was playing around with nail polish today and Kathryn wanted in on the action. She said they were so pretty!

Pop Pop is Here!

Kathryn is so excited that Pop Pop came to visit!  She wishes Gangy could come too though.  The first thing she said to Pop Pop after hugging him was, "Where's Gangy?" I love how she knows them so well all because of Skype. She loves having him her.

The Girl with the Yellow Hat

Kathryn got a new hat.  While I was in Boston at the Red Sox game, Kathryn and Jared went to Target and she picked out this awesome hat.  She loves it and wears it all the time, including at daycare.  Yesterday before nap time, her buddy, Kate, said to Kathryn, "You can't wear that to bed," and proceeded to take it off Kathryn's head.  Kathryn grabbed it back and said while glaring, "Don't you take my hat."  She put it back on her head, laid down and continued to glare at Kate.  I have to say, I think she's a lot like me and not in a good way.

I had to share these pictures too.  Tonight she wanted a third Popsicle and I said not.  This is the face I got.
