22 Months!

Yikes!  I've been a terrible blogger.  10 days between posts!  Not good!

Yesterday, Kathryn turned 22 months old.  How is that??? The time has flown.  She has changed so much and continues to changes every day.  She is such a smart girl.  She knows almost all of her letters and yesterday she counted to ten all by herself while laying on the changing table.  She really amazes me. I can't wait to see all she accomplishes.

While she does things that astound me, she also does things that crack me up.  Like tonight, she was laying in the tub on her stomach with her little butt in the air. She farted and looked up and me and just started laughing.  I laughed too and she continued to fart, laughing hysterically each time.  She's a girl from my own heart.

Just for the sake of documentation, here are her favorite shows:

The Fresh Beat Band-She LOVES them!  She sings and dances with them, while playing her "guitar", which is really just her little popper toy.

Neiho Kailan

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood

Super Why

And she's recently discovered Dora the Explorer

I think she's a TV junkie like her mother.

She's also been a little bratty lately, whining and pushing me.  She's also started pointing out Jared's mole.  She points at it and says, "Mole!"  It's pretty funny.  She cracks me up.

Watching The Fresh Beat Band and looking so grown up.

Playing her "guitar" while watching the Fresh Beat concert.

Rock on, Dad!  She always pulls us up to dance with her.

Sick Day

Kathryn's been battling a bug since Monday.  She stayed home from daycare Tuesday and Wednesday, but went yesterday.  She was fine, but didn't seem 100% when she got home.  I started not feeling great and last night I woke up around 12:30am feeling terrible.  I was so achy.  I knew I couldn't go to work today, so I got up at 2:30 am and wrote lesson plans, then went into school at 6:45am to set up.  I wish I had a job where you could just call out. It's more work being out, than just toughing it out.  Anyway, I decided to keep Kathryn home because she was coughing pretty badly.  Needless to say, I didn't get to rest much.  She had a bunch of energy.  I only got to sleep when she napped for about an hour.  I should be in bed now that she's sleeping.  I think I'll go to bed after I finish this post.  It's days like this I realize how hard it is to be a mom sometimes.

Don't I look attractive?

Dancing to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood theme song.

She spent a lot of time with the Kindle today since I was too tired to do much of anything.

A Day at the Orchard

Last Saturday, we went to Palazzi Orchards to pick some Honeycrisp apples before they were all gone.  They're the best apple ever!  Anyway...we had a good time and picked a ton of apples and peaches.  We'll be set for a while!

Bubble Butt

I had to make note of this milestone because it was so cute.  Tonight in the tub, she farted and noticed the bubbles float to the top.  She looked confused and when I said her bottom made bubbles, she kept trying to turn around to find more bubbles.

Minnie Mouse Hat

Kathryn loves Minnie Mouse.  My mom found this pattern for a Minnie Mouse hat online and I thought I'd give it a try.  I've only ever made blankets, so I was a little nervous. I think it turned out really good, except it's too big.  I used the pattern for 1-3 year olds, but it's still too big. I'll make another one using the smaller size.  Hopefully it'll fit and she'll wear it!

She's had enough!

Even Daddy wore it!

Cozy Coupe

Kathryn loves the cozy coupes at daycare.  I can still remember pulling up to get her after work one day when she was just learning to walk and she was in the driveway pushing the cozy coupe.  I remember thinking how big she was and it was the first time I saw her as a child and not a baby.

We've been meaning to get her her own coupe for a while and we finally broke down and got her one.  She was so excited when Jared pulled it out of the box.  She loves cruising around in it.

She couldn't wait to get in her new car!

Helping Dad.
Pushing Kathryn in the new coupe.

I don't really have pit stains.  It's a very old shirt that I've worked out in a thousand times.

I love my new car!

She even likes to take it indoors and read her Kindle in it.

Guitar With Dad!

For a while now, Kathryn has shown interest in guitars.  When she sees one, she points to it and says, "Guitar!"  Today she and Jared started playing some of his guitars and she loved it.

She was dancing to Dad playing!
