Buckethead

This girl is nuts.  She's got a thing for buckets lately.

Blueberries!

We went blueberry picking a couple of weeks ago at Lapsley Orchards.  Kathryn had a great time.  She mostly loved tasting berries from each bush so we'd know if they were good or not.  We ended up with a nice bucket of delicious blueberries!

Bookworm

Kathryn always loves to look through our books. She usually chooses Vampire Diaries books, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova or one of Jared's conservative books.  She actually sits there like she's reading them. Totally cracks me up!

Bittersweet

Friday was a tough day.  It was Kathryn's last day at Ms. Becky's house.  Becky was offered a position as a first grade teacher and while we are so happy for her to start this new journey, we are so sad that we are losing her as Kathryn's daycare provider.  She's been with Kathryn since she was six months old and Becky has taught her so much.  We were so blessed to find Becky and knowing she had someone so loving and competent watching her while I was at work, made it so much easier. I could drop her off and know she was going to have a great day with her friends.  Words cannot express how much we adore this woman or how much we will miss her.

Mississippi Cruising

We're back from Iowa and we had a great time!  On our last day there, my mom's cousin, Kevin, invited us to go cruising down the Mississippi River on his amazing boat.  The whole experience was wonderful and so relaxing.  We left around 10 am and pulled back in at 5 pm, starting in a small town called Guttenberg and heading up the river about 30 miles before turning back. I never realized how beautiful Iowa is. Kathryn had a great time too.  I just wish she hadn't enjoyed it so much down below. I wanted to be topside most of the time. The whole thing was awesome.  I think my parents had a blast too!
