Arizona Catch Up Time

I'm going to attempt to catch up on the Arizona pictures.  I won't do individual posts, but I will put a caption underneath explaining.  Here goes!

Kathryn was obsessed with pulling my dad's lights up.  Pop Pop wasn't happy about that.

She was also obsessed with fly swatters while in AZ.  She'd carry like five of them around and play with them.  She even tucked them in at night.  Don't worry, they were brand new.  No fly guts.

The many faces of Kathryn while trying to get a good picture before church.

This was the best picture I could get.

Dot painting with Andrew.

Hammin' it up.

The view from Tarin's new backyard.  Love the storm rolling in.

She was also obsessed with following the cats around and hanging out in my parents' bathroom.

Dad, Tyson, Kathryn and I went for a walk down by the San Pedro.  Tyson got heat stroke.  Probably not a good idea to take him with us.  Poor thing was okay though.

This tree is huge!

Dad and Tyson taking their afternoon nap.

The horny toad the kids found in Neena's backyard.

Chalk kids!

The flooded street after a great monsoon!

Kathryn insisted on an umbrella while we watched the rain from under the porch.

One more pic from the San Pedro.  She wasn't happy.

Tyson

The entire trip she insisted these were Pegi's shoes.

Another storm rolling in.  It turned out to be a big one!

Playing with Owen Draves.

Beautiful sunset

Aunt Bekki is the best with sidewalk chalk!

The day we left.  All the cousins. Logan, Brendan, Cassidy, Kathryn and Kaylie.

I've got a few more posts to make about AZ and that we ended up bringing Kaylie back with us, but I'll do that another time. Phew!

Sunflowers at Buttonwood Farms

Wow!  It's been a while since I've put something on the blog.  We're back from Arizona and I still have some stuff to put up here from Arizona, and I'll get to that,  put I'll do a post about our outing yesterday so I don't get even further behind.

One of our favorite places for ice cream is Buttonwood Farm in Griswold,  CT.  Every July they plant a ton of sunflowers. It's gorgeous!  They sell bouquets and give all the profits to The Make a Wish Foundation. We got there early and it was already packed.  We walked through the sunflowers, but skipped the hayride.  Luckily the ice cream line was really short so we had ice cream at 10:30am. That's okay,  right?  A friend of ours went in the afternoon and said the ice cream line was a mile long so I'm glad we went when we did!   Kathryn wasn't cooperative with pictures unfortunately. Maybe next year will be better.  As much as I detest living in Connecticut sometimes,  I really do love all the unique things to do and the beautiful scenery.

First Horse Ride!

When Katie came to visit,  we went to her mother in law's house and Kathryn was able to ride Sitka.  It was her first horse ride and she loved it!

First Time Visiting the Ice Cream Man!

When Andrew got to town the kids heard the ice cream truck. Andrew showed Kathryn the ropes since it was her first time.

Best Friends

Katie came down from Mesa to visit us.  It was great seeing her, Eric and the kids (Ellie and Owen).  I may wish we loved closer.  It was so fun seeing our kids playing together.
