Goldfish Crackers

Well, the worst weekend ever turned into the worst night ever.  Once she finally went to sleep, she woke up like an hour later and then she woke up nearly every hour after that. She was crying so hard.  She never does that.  We even let her sleep in her our bed for a couple of hours, but around 2am, she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep.  Jared decided to stay home with her on Monday, so he got up with her so I could get some sleep in order to go to work.  He got her to sleep around 4:30am after some Blue's Clues in the living room.  I thought she'd be down for a while, but she woke up at 5:30am.  It was awful.  I don't think we've ever had such a bad night.  She was all happy when she woke up and Jared said she didn't nap till 2pm and it was only till 3:30.  He also said she was very needy and whiney.  He took her to the doctor and she had a double ear infection, so it was that and the teething that was making her so miserable.

We decided she should take another day off from daycare today.  Thank the Lord she slept all night last night (we can only hope she'll do the same tonight) and she was fine when she woke up today, but our friends, Danielle, had already agreed to watch her, so she stayed home.  She was fine all day and hopefully that will continue.

She was so cute yesterday when I got home from working out.  She kept feeding me goldfish crackers.  Jared got a video and I'm so glad he did.

Diggin' for Gold!

This weekend Kathryn discovered her nose has holes.  She keeps jamming her finger up there.  I don't think she's trying to pick anything, she's just intrigued there are holes.  I will try and get a picture.  It shouldn't be too hard considering she's constantly picking it!

Worst. Weekend. Ever.

Weekends are usually relaxing.  They're a time to rejuvenate after a long week.  Not this weekend though.  Friday night/Saturday morning, Kathryn woke up about four times, which is unheard of for her.  She was cranky all day Saturday and was running a low grade fever.  She has no other signs of illness.  No sniffles. No cough.  Nothing.  We think it's teething.  We were exhausted though and we both took a nap when she took her morning nap.  When she woke up, we finished cleaning the house.  We didn't finish till nearly 4pm.  We're usually done by noon and have the rest of the day to relax.  That didn't happen yesterday.  Last night was a little better.  She woke up twice after putting her to bed.  She woke up too early though and when she took her morning nap, Jared and I both napped too...again.  We were trying to clean our bedroom when we woke up.  That didn't last long though because Kathryn just wanted to play with her slide.  She was acting tired around 2pm, so I tried putting her down...it didn't work.  Jared finally got her down around 3:30.  She slept for about an hour, but she was all fussy.  We had dinner and then tried putting her to bed at her usual 7:30.  That didn't happen either.  After both of us trying, she is just sitting in the living room playing with her fake food.  It's now 8:43pm and I'm getting tired and Jared needs to go to bed soon.  I pray this is only a one night thing!  Below you'll find pictures of what she's doing INSTEAD of sleeping.  Ay yi yi!  Not sure how you spell that, but that's how I feel!

A Gimpse into the Future???

Kathryn was wearing a shirt today that said, "Love Being Grandpa's Girl".  She looked so sweet in it and I wanted to get a picture of her in it before she came home from daycare all disheveled.  Well, I took some pictures and got an absolutely hilarious one.  A friend on Facebook said this what she'll look like when she's 80.  I have to agree.

Below are just some cute random shots of Miss Stinkerton.

She does not like being locked out!
Kathryn got this little track suit when she was a month old from her "Aunt" Janice. I remember thinking how big it was and that there was no way she'd ever fit in it.  Well, she does now and she looks so cute in it.

Let's Call Her Bruiser

Yesterday was a bit of a rough day for Kathryn.  At daycare, while sliding on the slide, she slid into Olivia's knee and got a nasty bruise under her eye.  Then, when I got her home she was running around the house with a pair of pajama bottoms and she slipped.  She started crying and I originally thought she was just scared, then I looked down and saw she was bleeding pretty good.  Her top teeth had cut her lip.  She cried for a bit, but then was okay.  She's a tough cookie.
Her bruise and fat lap.  You can't really see the lip well in this picture, but it's the best I got.

This is her Skyping with Gangy.  She gets so happy when she sees Gangy.

A Writer Perhaps?

Kathryn LOVES to "type" on the computer.  Whenever she sees an open laptop she runs over and starts typing on it.  I wonder if she'll like writing like me.  Only time will tell.  I can't wait to share my stories with her someday.  It won't be for a very long time, but maybe someday.

15 Month Check Up

Kathryn went for her 15 month check-up today.  It's hard to believe she's already 15 months old!!!  She was in such a happy mood and she was smiling and laughing and saying hello to everyone in the waiting room.  She just wanted to jump, jump, jump!  Unfortunately, her great mood was hampered by her shots. :-(  She was a trooper though and only cried for a little bit.  Here are her stats:

Height: 33 inches (95th percentile)
Weight: 22 lbs. 1.5 oz. (50th percentile)  She used to be in the 25th, so she's catching up a bit!
Head: 48 cm (between the 50th and 75th percentile)

She's happy and healthy and we're so grateful for that!
